During assessment, the pupils
should be able to show that they are able to process the information that was
taught during the lesson and that they should show that during assessment, the
teacher is able to bring out what was taught to them. This would tell us that
there is learning. Assessment would also show us how effective is the strategy
for the lesson and how effective we are as a teacher.
So when choosing an assessment, it
should help the child bring out what was discussed during the lesson and also
they should apply critical thinking as we don’t want our assessment to be too
easy. But we should also be mindful and not make the assessment too hard for
them.
