12. Uses effective verbal and non-verbal classroom communication strategies to support learner understanding, participation, engagement and achievement.


As teachers, we need to be positive in giving feedbacks to our learner’s; this would act as a motivation for them and inspire them to do better in the next lesson and participate better during classroom discussion.
Not only do we need to use verbal communication, sometimes we need to use a non-verbal strategy in order to get their attention and to pay attention during class. This is to help them focus on the lesson and not get distracted by their peers.
As a teacher, I use these strategies to get the attention of the children if they are either too noisy or they are not participating enough in the lesson.
