When teaching, especially here in
Mindanao where the mother tongue is Bisaya, I had a hard time at first because
first of all I did not grow up here in Mindanao. But as times goes by, I was
able to teach children in Bisaya with the help of my teachers and friends.
But of course, we also need to
somehow integrate the English and Filipino language as it would be used as well
on the later parts of their school life. So I integrated these by teaching
words that is in English and translating it to Filipino or Bisaya. Sometimes I
even use English words for them to get used to the language.
