Since I am teaching in the grade 1
level, I need to ensure that I use strategies that are attractive to them and
that they enjoy. Normally I play a game with them by groups and let them write
the numbers or spell the words that I say, the first group to finish writing
will earn one point and by winning, they will receive a star.
By doing so, they enjoy learning
and that they even asked me to play the game almost every day. With these
reaction, I am convinced that it is a strategy that works as not only they have
friendly competition, but also learn at the same time.
